No one would like to see this..!! Would put them on -5 points plus presumably a lengthy transfer embargo..!! With Sheff Utd on 1 point and Bournemouth, Burnley and Luton all struggling to - you’ve got to be thinking anyone with more than 30 points staying up this season. Not that I’m worried about it from our perspective - we’re good enough for a top 10 finish, once we get all the walking wounded back..!! But if you’re Everton - got to be worried - poor squad, better players will probably want to move on in January - no funds to replace them - new ground to pay for - all seems very bleak..!! See we moan about Palace/Parish not splashing the cash - this is the potential for spending beyond your limit - who would you rather be us or Everton right now..!! On a purely Palace perspective - payback for attacking Vieria..!! COYP

Mate as I was writing my post I was conscious of Bill Kenwright sadly passing away this week - which is terrible, Everton through and through..!! RIP Bill Kenwright from all of us in Red and Blue..!! But his values are/were no longer represented by the club he built - hence the problems they are in..!! As you say if we were in the same position would we get any sympathy from them - no way..!! I agree on Man City what is it 140 odd charges - this as I understand is just one. At this rate City would be playing in the Northern Premier League. If the Premier League are going to make a stance on this - it has to be fair to all, otherwise you know what will be coming - big club preferential treatment etc.. But it has to be said if you are Leicester of Leeds now - who both narrowly went down with Everton just escaping - what are you thinking..?? The League needs to make a stance on FFP - otherwise what's the point..?? COYP

COYP I guess since the case has been referred to "an independent commission" to make the decision the F.A. can hold their hands up and say "we made a recommendation but they decided against it".

No sympathy from me after that disgraceful pitch invasion and the assault on our players. What goes around…

I think our being docked 10 points was because we went into administration (there was no case to prove or answer to, it was a stone cold fact) so we had the points deducted almost immediately. But I am with you completely on the delays in administering these FFP charges, I am a firm believer that if someone breaks the rules they should have the punishment administered in the same season that the offence occurred to retain the integrity of the season ( or at least during the summer break so that the new season can start with a clean slate) otherwise as in this case you have 3 clubs waiting to sue Everton because they suffered relegation when ( if the FFP case is proven) one of them might have escaped relegation with Everton going down instead. And who sits on this independent commission and how were they appointed? I am cynical that Everton will get their just desserts because most of the PL clubs will not want it to happen. There are a number of clubs Man City and Chelsea spring to mind who must be concerned about FFP and then there is Forrest and perhaps others we don't know about. I suspect that they will not want Everton to get hit hard not for any love of the club but in fear that they will get similar treatment. Let's hope that is not the case.

Agree, there is no chance they will get a points deduction, it will set a precedent in the Premier and other clubs don’t want that.

Surely no one else in football could be called independent. The rules have to allow for this to happen , or it can’t happen, so why not just implement the rules..

Everton fans have had to put up with a mess of a club for a few years now, so I'd actually feel sorry for them if this happened. For most of us football is one of the few things to look forward to each week, irrespective of who we support. However, as others have said, what's the point in FFP if it just results in a few slapped hands and fines that make no impact. I recently read Simon Jordan's book and I have no confidence that much has changed and due to the size and history of Everton they'll probably get off with a fine and a transfer ban. If it was us, Luton or Burnley, for example, they probably wouldn't blink at deducting 12 points or more.

No way Everton are going to get hammered, although I would love to see it
