Hope ive put this in the right place.

Right, according to this bbc report, the British fans are obsessed with them, Really? So HOLer's what about you? Are you obsessed with Victoria Beckham, Colleen Rooney, etc etc?

Makes a change from the doom n gloom on the N&P thread

Nope, don't care couldn't pick most of em out of a line up.

That said somebody must be interested otherwise the media wouldn't keep banging on about it. Same as the Royal Family everyday there is a story no idea who reads that stuff but someone must do.

I think they make most people want to throw up rather than be obsessed by them. In fact my mrs said to me last night, shall we start watching the beckham documentary, I said I’d sooner watch our cats sleeping for a couple of hours, it would be more interesting than Posh Spice

I have often wondered why when watching the tennis at Wimbledon on the TV the camera cuts away to the player's significant other after he/she has played a winning shot.

Surely people watch the tennis for the tennis and not to gawp at his grip (Geordie word as we're playing them today)

You've named two 'Ws' whose husbands have been footballers for ages. I could name two others in the same category - Abbi Clancy (check spelling) and Frankie Bridge - but other than Mrs Vardy, Icouldn't name a single 'W' or 'G' of any current footballer anywhere in the world, so I wonder who you meant by "etc etc" in your OP.

In summary: I'm not in the slightest bit obsessed but I wouldn't mind a threesome with the first two I mentioned!

An incidental point; I wonder which has more WAGs - the England men's football team or the England women's. A close call. Or perhaps some of the women's team are single.

I think its more a case of the meeedjia who want to make out that there is an obsession because its harder to make a story out of it if they have to acknowledge that no one actually cares.

Like when we were all supposedly fascinated by supermodels.

Rooney got caught doing a Granny-hooker. And Coleen married him anyway.
