Historic England have recently made available photos taken by the RAF, from before and after World War 2. The quality is extremely good for the time. There are aerial shots of the Palace ground from 1946 to 1949 and interesting photos of the Crystal Palace before and after it burnt down. My grandmother lived in Woodland Road near the Crystal Palace and I even managed to see her house with the washing on the line in 1946.
There is a box where you can search by address or place, or you can just zoom in on the map. The red circles are more modern photos and the historic ones are blue squares.
