What a remarkable man he is, with Ray and his coaches, i dont think their is any other manager that can organise a team like he can, everyone knows their role, and even with numerous injuries to our more attacking players we still looked comfortable, he gets the most out of even the average players, no wonder Parish wanted him back, with the squad and the injuries would any other manager get us to 9th in the toughest league in the world, for me no.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Agree with your sentiment but you might want to correct the heading double quick before you get too much stick.

Always liked Roy. Gets the best from what he’s got at his disposal.

Will admit I was bit underwhelmed when he got offered a 1 year deal, but it’s now clear there’s no better man out there for the job than him. The players respect him and respond well. Hopefully he has the energy and motivation to go past this season. His CV speaks for itself.

A real articulate gent and a fantastic ambassador for our club.

I Love Croydon-Roy. He Wore the Palace shirt, as a schoolboy, when most of us were not yet a twinkle in the milkman's eye.

Never mind the name spelling. The points you make there are spot on. What he pulled off yesterday absolutely sums the man up. Most of our team could be his grand sons, yet he continues to organise and inspire them to performances like that.
No five top internationals to call on in the second half , as his opposition might have had, yet his team ran its self into the ground for him. As you say, “remarkable’”.

I admit I didn’t want him back because the last couple of years before Vieira were so tergid and painful to watch, especially at home. But you just can’t dislike the bloke, he’s such a gent and it seems he’s now doing a great job despite our lack of quality outside our best eleven and with the injuries piling up

Still don’t agree with playing a weak side in a competition we could win, but after yesterdays win I can forgive him even that

Delighted as I am (and I am ecstatic) with the win at Manctrafford,
I can't help but smile at how the Holmesdale drifts like a barge between Roy as King and Roy as Pauper.

To be brutally honest, we burgled a lovely three points by adopting the perfect away game plan. That it worked is the only thing that seems to matter to many on here, who were, only one game ago, droning on about 'Royball'.

Well, if it was 'Royball', if that's how it's described, then it was 'Royball' what won it.

Or is it only thus described when we lose?

All you detractors take note.

I think there’s some validity to this.
I was a detractor from the final season of his last reign as he seemed to have run out of ideas, and he himself has acknowledged that both he and the players were jaded and it was possibly time for a new voice to take the club forward .
When he came back last season though, even in a potential relegation battle, he looked at the squad and noted he had a better and younger group to work with.
The players improved dramatically under his management and we looked a good attacking force.
There was no so called ‘Royball’ as we had the resources to get results using more positive methods.
At the moment he has a number of injuries to contend with so he has adjusted again to an organised structure where disciplined performance is the key to results.
This flexibility to me is evidence of good management and I, for one, am pleased to have him back.
