Memory might be a little off key, but seem to remember Paul, and Martin Hinshelwood were local lads out of a Scots family living at New Addington. Ended up on the South coast like a good few others.

Doris is still my favourite ever Palace right back, good rest his soul. The name Hinshelwood does bring back some great memories I always remember he was the first footballer I ever see smoking, even for the 70’s I was quite shocked Edited by monkey (01 Oct 2023 10.29am)

I remember Paul & Martins dad, Wally, as groundsman and driving the Fiat 500 with rollers for wheels across the pitch at half time..
