Time for parish to walk. Give textor a chance. Parish clearly can’t back managers and has no ambition. It is an absolute f****** joke. I know I was against the Hodgson appointment however I admit I was proved wrong on that even though it was unambitious. Parish is slowly undoing all the good work of the previous years. It’s time for him to put his hands up and say he has taken us as far as he can. The squad depth is embarrassing for the years we have been in the prem. time for fans to peacefully protest at games but loudly. Parish has to go you stand still it’s dangerous. Tonight showed our progress is embarrassing

Tonight shows lack of investment/money available over the summer. That mostly doesn't come from Parish but other investors who currently have short arms and long pockets. I doubt there'll be anything to spend until one of the big assets is sold Guehi/ Eze / Olise. That's the new model we've shifted towards but as yet haven't made a sale. It's frustrating, especially when the money spent on the now injured Henderson could possibly have been much better spent elsewhere. However calling for Textor to take over is a joke, ask the Lyon fans on their thoughts!

Thought Parish did well in the summer to mainly aviod getting sucked into the inflated transfer market while retaining the services of our own leading lights . Keep up the good work

Boring. Ten year in the Premier League and they are still whining. Of course, we need a better squad, and I'm fairly sure that Parish would want that too in an ideal world. I seem to recall that Charlton fans were moaning about being mid table back in the day, and look where they are now.

Parish is not the problem, the owners or previous owners at the likes of Southend, Reading, Derby, Charlton etc etc are or were a problem!!

We should be spending now with those upcoming sales in mind, though - there's more risk attached, but it saves panic shopping at a time when everyone knows you've got an inflated budget, and you actually have some time to manage the transition.

My issue with them is with the Hodgson appointment - not the one at the back end of last year(I'm happy to admit that I was wrong on that one) but the year's extension and subsequent lack of transfer activity. RH's tenure last time out, which by the end of his reign had a the same feel to as it does now; Hes a stop-gap, lets get through this year and give his successor the dosh. It exudes an attitude from the board which, in spite of how many times they say they want to challenge the top half, is actually "just survive again". This filters down through the club. We can only make suppositions on why they went that way and re-employed him, or why transfers didn't happen. Perhaps they genuinely thought of him as the correct option. Or perhaps they tried and tried, and couldn't get anyone better. One thing is for sure, there are some much worse options out there than Parish and Co.
