Class player for Palace when at his prime therefore v.sad to read where he finds himself now: [Link] He's a free agent with a fantastic footballing brain and a wealth of expertise therefore what's wrong with the idea of bringing him back to train with the first team ; reciprocally assess club level playing role potential even if on pay-as-you-play ...but also what a positive influence he could be upon the younger players coming up.

initially i would say no, however, with the wing option limitations we have and also the fact that Burnley were prepared to give him a contract suggests he could still do a job in the Prem. It would allow Ayew to play on the left too and even when Olise is ready to return would enable him to be eased back in if we have AT available. Edited by palace99 (26 Sep 2023 11.37am)

As long as I don't have to listen to him or his father than I don't mind either way.

I’m sure he would have been discussed as an option …even until Christmas to add some depth to the squad. We all have our own opinion - but I would welcome him back short term

We’ve got gaps in the squad especially going forwards. I understand it’s uncomfortable to consider but on the right terms and short term why not.

The reason Burnley withrew their contract offer was because they felt he would block their younger players progression to the first team for what would be short term gain I would say we are pretty much in the same position at the moment and as you suggest its an opportunity for JRS and Ebiowei
