Whoever's fit will play. In fact, turn up with your boots and you'll be in with a shout!

Henderson, Clyne, Holding, Richards, Riedewald Rak Saki and Mateta are likely to come into the team.
That leaves room for 4 starters from today to perhaps play as well.
I could see Hughes and Doucoure playing roughly a half each and perhaps the same for Schlupp and Ayew.
Mitchell will probably have to play as our only left back.
If Edouard has a hamstring issue it's unlikely he'll be used other than from the bench.
We do look a bit stretched with the injuries (some would even say without the injuries).

I dont think we will be giving anything away for next weekend . This cup is really low down on priorities and would expect anyone in the squad who doesn't play regular to start

The OP is probably not far off what we will see

Andersen, Guehi, Doucoure, Eze, Edouard and Ayew should not start in my opinion.

Hughes will start ahead of Doucoure on Tuesday.

Can't think any of these players will start (. Ie Johnstone, Guehi, Andersen, Doucoure, Eze).

We've got such a paper thin squad that any fun of a potential cup run has essentially been washed away and replaced by hoping we don't get more injuries. I can't see us particularly caring about the cups now. I would love us to give it a shot, but Roy is likely to be pragmatic.

I'd not start a single first teamer as we can't afford any more injuries. When you look at what our back ups are it's mad that we didn't bring a few more in, even loans. I don't think any of the youngsters are ready but maybe we get a bit of luck with one of them. Getting a pasting probably won't do much for their confidence but we don't seem to have much of an option.

Henderson
Clyne Holding Richards Watson

Riedewald Ozoh

Rak-Sakyi Mathurin Umah
Mateta

With our bench / squad and especially the midfield so lacking it’s a shame we loaned out Killian Phillips. Would have been good to have him for recent matches where the squad has been thin and could even have started him on Tuesday against Utd?

I would say that is spot on, we cannot take the chance of another injury, i agree as well, why we didnt loan 1 or 2 is a mystery.

Let's be honest. We are unlikely to go down this season, so we might be tempted to have a go.
I guess the FA Cup would be the preferred choice, but we do have a pretty thin squad to spread around.

I'd take a point on Saturday.
