Dispatches is on tomorrow for a 90 minute special edition. Rumours are that an A-lister's career could be ended.

Be interesting to see the 'relevations'. He makes no bones about his wayward past and ways, has never portrayed himself as some kind of 'Saint' and generally is a self-proclaimed twonk.

For this 'revelation' to have any kind of umph it certainly needs to come up with something truly beyond the pale.

He was one of three names trending yesterday. The other two may get mentioned - one would be no surprise but the other would be quite a shock. Not being coy but I don't want to mention the others because they might not have done anything.

I've delivered his groceries to him at his home in Hambleden. He was perfectly friendly and polite. Another time I delivered to his neighbour and I blocked his driveway just before he arrived back home in his 'Range'. I dashed back out to move out of his way, but he said "Don't worry, mate; you finish your delivery. I can wait."

Channel 4 hasn't approached me for a comment though!

I met Russell Brand a couple of times; I'm not one that usually has time for celebrities but he was just pretty normal and friendly. My son spammed him on the phone as a kid but he didn't mind at all. He just took it as kid's mucking around - as they do.

Me being me so apologies....

The Sunday Times has been sewed up tighter than a Scottish Hebrew for days on this. Dispatches are going for a Saturday night 90 minute 'special'. For Russel Brand? For being a bit of sexist?

They would have known he would go public first if offered the chance. The man is many things but you cannot deny he knows how to play the publicity game. And the kind to get his blows in first.

It is possible, and I have to stress possible bit allied with my usual jaded view of how everything works, that this is a diversion. Sure, they might all be running a story of sorts about Brand but there may be somebody else (or thing? - late edit) who is the main target.

Millions turn on expecting it to be Brand exposed (and still the question remains, for what? A Junkie who slept around a lot?) and it is in fact somebody else?

no need for you to be whispering. Its all breaking in the news. In fairness to him, Brand is less annoying than most Media-Lefties. And yes, all media luvvies are Lefties ( at least in public).

That this is a LOT of fuss for somebody who is well past his zenith. Yesterdays man, in terms of the mainstream. And whilst some of his content on Youtube is provacative, he is very much of the Remora kind of public influencer rather than one of the big Whites.
