If anyone is thinking of using The Witton Arms pub outside Witton train station, a heads up, it’s now home fans only.

There's got to be better pubs than that anyway. Last season we had to queue to get in, pay, get searched and drink horrible lager outside in the rain.

I think the best thing would be to drink in Birmingham city centre, then get the train to witton.

I am just unsure of what pubs in the city centre would be best.

Last year they served no alcohol in the ground. We went to the pub behind the away end. Paid to get in the courtyard round the back and then weren’t allowed inside apart from to pee. Most of the draft beers were off. I’d try somewhere else.

I have never seen the need for an alcohol stimulant as surely the thrill of watching the palace in action should not be clouded by the influence of alcohol. There are a couple of decent cafes on witton road who would provide teas coffees and light refreshments . Enjoy
