That Kiss. At the World Cup Final. I don't know any detail. Just my own thoughts are , If you're a high-raking member of your country's FA, and you're at a Woman's World Cup Final, you should know exactly how to behave. And to kiss the player on such a public world stage is staggering. If Rubiales doesn't resign, his position will eventually become untenable. A legal case will destroy both of them. Woman's football was meant to champion feminism, and if Rubiales survives I can see this having a massive negative effect. Anyone else ?

I thought the gesturing with hand on his crotch almost next to the Queen of Spain and Royal Princess was even worse. A man in his position should certainly not be doing that in view of any female. Should go for that alone.

probably had too much free wine and got too excited about the win . I thought it looked a bit wierd when I saw the 'kiss' and shoulder carry later but no harm done . Just a dirty old man who lost control but why he just didnt resign when asked only he knows

Inappropriate and rather creepy behaviour. "Sexual violence"? That is perhaps going a bit far. He obviously thought his actions acceptable, and perhaps they are in his world. However, the fact that this took place in a public place indicates that it was not a prelude to him wanting to take things further. A different interpretation could have been put on this if it had happened in private. Where I once worked where there was an HR Director who in social situations would kiss female staff on the lips on greeting them. This never looked right and I don't know why he thought it acceptable, but I don't think there was any underlying mischief or intent on his part. Edited by Pete53 (28 Aug 2023 2.44pm)

I thought it a little inappropriate when he hopped into the after match bath in the dressing room.
