I really do apologise now for doing this, but, this has to be an April Fools joke nearly 5 months late. He has to up there with that donkey Maguire as one of the top 5 worst defenders in English history(imo). Gotta love click-bait for trying to sell our players & selling others to us(we dont want, fingers x'd).
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Spurs fans want rid of him and despite Ange saying he’s still in his plans he won’t get into his team. He’s way too slow, gets caught out of position a lot, can’t pick a pass, and on big money. We’d be mad to take him!

I’m well prepared for the onslaught and barrage coming my way as an FYI. Provided, provided, he would come quite cheap, £15mil would be high in my eyes, I wouldn’t be too despondent. Can play both holding midfield and across the back line. Good experience in both PL and Internationally. For a squad player, we could do far worse short term. Give me freedom to write a long list of my own and he won’t be on it granted but I wouldn’t have great faith in us buying another player of his mould before this window shuts. Go easy.

"Wouldn't be too despondent" and "could do far worse in the short term". Two ringing endorsements for him to enjoy but as you say we might not get anyone better.

Personally I think this is a rumour started by spuds to encourage talk / media speculation that either MG or JA is going to Sandcastle & we need to open dialogue with spuds so they can try to manipulate a deal where they pick up an unsettled Ezy ( a player that we want to keep) in some sort of player exchange involving Dier( a player they want to offload)
