Please get a striker in. We cannot go through the season with Mateta and Edouard playing a half each whilst we try to work out who is the least useless of the pair.

And for what it is work Ahamada is better than Demari Gray, so don't waste any money on him.

For injuries, Hughes took a nasty tackle from behind and had to be helped off the field. Mitchell also came off, not sure what happened to him.

In addition to a striker we need to strengthen at L & R back as we can’t rely on Mitchel and Ward and we also need a dominate CB who can deal with high balls in to the box. We also have to fill Zaha shoes. A busy few weeks ahead with last minute panic deals on last day of window as usual!

Hodgson said Richards was due to play in this game but pulled out of the game late owing to an injury.
I like Richards and note some have opined that we could cope without Guehi or Anderson as he would be a good replacement.
I don’t doubt that he has the ability but have real concerns how many games he would complete over the course of a season.
He would not be a good replacement if he’s frequently injured.

The other thing to note from the game is the bad tackle on Hughes which led to him being substituted.
Even the usually calm Ward reacted to it and it wouldn’t surprise me if Hughes was out for a period of time.

Jake O'Brian looks like a great prospect at CB. Composed and a giant. I would be happy to see him stay and come on from the bench.

I really hope he’s not sent out on loan again. He is a great prospect and a leader. Our new Damo Delaney.
