A journalist called Chris Wheatley has reported that we're interested in Leicester right back Timothy Castagne. Seem to remember that we were linked before he went to Leicester. Have always liked him as a player and, at 27, he's at his peak. [Tweet Link]

He is primarily a right-back but can play at left-back and in both wing-back positions. Brendan Rodgers signed him for £25 Mill from Atalanta. Edited by Willo (16 Jun 2023 10.31am)

They will be looking for around £20m based on what they paid. Is he that good. Genuine question. Saw. both the Leicester games but nothing comes to mind about him. Maybe ask Wilf?

Would be a huge upgrade on Ward/Clyne and give a new dimension to the team - having an overlapping threat outside of Olise would make us so much more dangerous. Would be really keen on this.

He probs is in and around that range. But for me, I wouldn't want to be paying that for a 27yr old. Its our old model, no sell on fee. 12/15m I'd be happy.

This could be a tenuous link to Castagne. I remember us being interested in him when he was at Atalanta. If we spending 20m on a right back it will someone younger, ie. Boey.
