RIP, Great actress . . .
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

She was a fine classical actress with a wonderful voice. Her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth 1st in the BBC series was peerless. RIP
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

'Anything is better than working at Boots'. A great actress, a committed politician, a remarkable human being. 'Women in Love' a favourite directed by Ken Russell, 'Touch of Class' etc. RIP

I was lucky enough to see her playing King Lear at the Old Vic -her first role after she left politics, and ok there will be some.on here who will get a bit frothy about a Oman playing a traditionally male role, but she was and the whole play was bloody brilliant!

Growing up in a less enlightened age I think that Glenda's boobs were the very first that I saw on TV. Unfortunately recording devices hadn't been invented then
