The happy hammers have been banging on all morning about their first 'Major' European final since the 60's and their joy of rejoining the elite of Europes clubs . Jesus , will someone just tell them they are playing for a revamped inter toto ,the european version of the Simod cup , its a day out a few beers but nobody else but them will remember it past Thursday lunchtime . Hope we can get a crack at it in years to come

Its more like a re-vamped UEFA Cup. I’d love us to have done what the spammers have done this season and we’d be living the dream with it as well if it was us. I’m actually hoping they win it, because realistically it could be us in the near future and it gives me a little bit of hope

Well, I don't know how anyone could not be rooting for WH tonight, regardless of the club where true allegiance lies. They are an English team in a European cup final playing an Italian side. I, for one, hope they give a good account of themselves and win comfortably. Come on you Hammers!
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Yeah I do hope they win it. It's somthing we should be looking at doing in a few years. I like that there isint the usual "top 4" teams in it and it's a chance for a trophy for clubs like us. It's what I would like the league cup to be like. No top 6 teams in it.

I hope thy lose out of pure jealousy, I’d kill for us to be there. Also, I think West Ham having Europa League football will make them stronger, which is not in our interests.

I, too, hope WHU win tonight, same reason as POG. Also, if they do, it means, for the first time, there will be 8(Eight) English clubs playing in Europe. 4 in CL (City, Arsenal, Utd & Newcastle), 3 in the EL (Liverpool, Brighton & West Ham) & 1 in the ECL (Villa). Gives clubs like us, renewed hope, it is possible to achieve.

I wouldn't expect them to win. Not sure I'll watch it.

UEFA, thought that fans/clubs wouldn't be interested in it so awarded Prague the final last year before the 1st one, in which Roma won. They have delayed in awarding next years final dependant on how this years one turns out(& not from the playing perspective).

As soon as West Ham V Firion ...the Italian lot made the final they should have changed it to say Paris . EUFA seem to do this a lot , jump the gun on where the final of its competitions is going to be played and often get it wrong .
