Just watched the "Super Sunday" vid on "Youtube" regarding our probably most desperate season of administration and points deductions..
I think it was about thirteen years ago and we had to play Sheffield Wednesday ..
A draw was going to keep us up and a short term manager was brought in after Warnock shuffled off to a small club in west London...
Paul Hart stepped in and in my opinion he will be always one of our best and but forgotten managers..
I honestly think that without him and that brilliant set of a squad we would not be where we are today..

"Numb, gutted and shocked . Three words that sum up how I feel."
"Passionate, principled, genius. Three words that sum up Joe Strummer"
Martin Scorcese, Film director.

Absolutely. He did a great job for us in very difficult circumstances and should be fondly remembered.

In all fairness, Warnock didn't even get paid for a while and no one begrudged him leaving when he couldn't buy anyone, was losing players and not getting paid. In all honesty, Hart wasn't as good as Warnock but he did enough to keep us up - along with the squad - and, I believe, is fondly remembered due to that. Not sure Hart got much money either.

Paul Hart was in charge for 14 games.
We won 3, Drew 6 and lost 5.
That 2-2 draw at Sheff Wed in the final game will live long in the memory as it secured our survival and the 'Owls' were relegated.

Coppell for me - 440 games and a win rate of 40pc which compares favourably with the rest. Had some great teams and played good football.

best manager - Venables first time round. I was getting in to Palace as Bert Head was going out, but he seems seriously underrated, esp if you go back to his Swindon days with Mike Summerbee and Don Rogers. Last ten years I'd say Pulis was the best, but Roy is right up there of course, and it's great how he's undermined the stereotype that he's all 'park the bus' - when he has the right players his style is 'pass and move' - we played some lovely stuff under Roy when we had Cabaye and Loftus-Cheek.

It was the Venebles team of the eighties that got me into Palace. Not sure if I should love him or hate him when I think about it. That Clive Allen transfer.

Warnock was a superb manager for Palace in impossible circumstances
