By my logic this, as it stands, is our squad for next season... GK Johnstone, Guaita, Whitworth CB Guehi, Andersen, Richards RB N/A LB Mitchell MF Doucoure, Riedewald, Ahamada, Hughes, Eze, Schlupp WF Olise, Ebiowei, Rak-Sakyi FW Mateta, Eduoard, Ayew Out of Contract Zaha, McArthur, Tomkins, Milovojevic, Clyne, Ward, Ferguson, Butland You'd assume that McArthur, Tomkins, Clyne and Ward will stay on and possibly Zaha. Ebiowei and Rak-Sakyi probably out on loan again. However, with the exception of the goalkeepers and maybe central defence if Guehi and Tomkins stay, we pretty much need another RB, LB, CM, WF and FW, is that fair? Big summer ahead.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I really hope not. Ward is the only one I'd be offering another year. Big wages, little impact. We need to make better decisions and trust in the youth.

No problem with them staying if they are essentially squad players and on reduced wages but we desperately need a new starting RB next season in my opinion.

New RB needed with ward as able back up. The rest have to go. Jimmy has played 28mins this season. He's on 55k a week. Over 100k a minute. Personally I'd rather spend the big wages on the players that deliver for us. No time for sentiment now. If Jimmy wants to be a coach that's cool, but we cant pay him as a player any more

Adaramola hopefully challenges Mitchell for the LB spot he is a very good player. New RB is required which would probably mean Clyne or Ward one of them will leave (Boey would be a good signing decent RB)

I think one of Clyne and ward will stay probably ward.I think mcarthur will stay but on a reduced contract with a view to him and probably ward being used as future coaches in the academy. I think for financial reasons we will have to sell someone possibly Guehi however the 50 million talked about for us is too low. Our wage bill is still too high and assuming some of the out of contract players including Zaha do go and we replace with lower waged players this may improve. Awb is often mentioned but is on too much money so even if we got him for a good price as part of a deal involving Guehi would he take a pay drop? The same is true of other fringe players from Chelsea Liverpool spurs arsenal and both Man clubs ie the clubs interested in our players. It will become clearer when we see who is being released both by us and elsewhere and also who joins Southampton in championship

The gamble of giving Tomkins and Jimmy Mac new contracts last summer hasn't worked so it would be madness to offer them another deal, even on reduced terms. Both have terrible injury records and Tomkins looked well off the pace the few times he did play.

My heart sank when I saw a forward line of Mateta , Eduoard and Ayew . This would really put the fear into the opinions defence

Lerma from Bournemouth would help bolster ranks in midfield. Does anyone know if Loftus Cheek is out of contract at Chelsea?
