I’d be happy with that. Nice to go into the summer in a settled position for once. And he’s younger than the next US President is likely to be.

Great news. Also means we have Ray staying too, and also Paddy. That's great for continuity, and means they are in the best possible position to know who can come through the academy ranks and what kind of player we need to bring in from what characteristics

Garth Crooks will be gutted.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Haha, that guy is a pleb. There's a reason he's been reduced to one meaningless column each week.

As for Roy good on him, he's freed up the team (I really didn't predict that)... and I imagine there'll be quite a few movements in the squad this summer so having a stable coaching team makes sense. Wouldn't it be great if Paddy could learn everything from him next season and then seamlessly takeover the season after.

Do I care how that ageist (and racist) hypocrite feels? Not one iota.

Seeing as the information is in the 'Daily Mail' there must be substance to the reports and it is not palpable tosh.

Good news give him one more year then the following season appoint someone like Carrick, Kompany. If Roy can be given a new RB, another attacking midfield and clinical striker Palace could do well next season.

I can't feel 100% thrilled at the prospect because so much football under him was so turgid.

HOWEVER

we DID play some good stuff when we had the right players on the pitch under him. Especially RLC and Cabaye

And I can't see him going long with Andersen and Guehi at the back. Add a right back, a box-to-box, and a striker (maybe Edouard can do more) and this team is ready to fly.

Garth Crooks May 2024 "while it is impressive on paper that Palace made the Champions League"

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I think that this would be a mistake.
We will be back into survival mode and without Wilf - it will be dull and not pretty because I cannot see him unleashing this lot again over the period of a season.
Also - an old man on a one year contract will not attract and new players to the club - I wouldn't have thought anyway.
He should leave at the end of this season with his head held very high.

I have heard similar sentiments expressed recently by fellow supporters, who fully recognise and appreciate the turnaround in performances and results under Mr Hodgson.

These supporters have been very impressed and lauded Mr Hodgson but some expressed the view that the rigours of a short term assignment are very different to an extended spell with all the demands of being a PL manager.
