I think it's quite a tight final. 1-1

Always a tasty meeting between county and forest.
Could happen in the league cup now.
Good luck to them.

Notts county was one of those clubs I thought the fans must be a bit strange, especially when Forest were good back in the late 70’s early 80’s. How can you come from Nottingham and not support Forest? A bit like coming from Merseyside and supporting Tranmere!!
But then again we’re all just as Cuckoo, we chose to support Palace instead of a good London club

I have watched Notts Co at their ground a few times (Yes I did take advantage of complimentary tickets !) and recall the sign on the stand 'World's oldest Football League club'.I recall Kasper Schmeichel being in goal for the club.I have not been to the ground for several years.

I also recall seeing the road sign 'Iremonger Road', named after goalkeeper Albert Iremonger who was a legend at the club.

Congratulations to Notts Co on their promotion back to the EFL and I wish them well in their endeavours.

I went there New Year’s Day 1985 with a hangover. The best thing about the game was that lovely red Hummel kit with the sash we had back then, because it was 0-0 and we had the goal machine that was Tony Mahoney up front

"I went there New Year’s Day 1985 with a hangover." SNAP Open stand wind wiping off the Trent, Absolutely freezing watching a drab 0-0. I think Rachid Harkouk was playing for them.
