Just as an FYI/ICYMI all - my somewhat unintentional shoehorning of myself into the designated driver role for my contingent these days has meant I have been recipient of several communications flagging trains strikes this weekend.

Looks as though Southern are included in this and whilst not sure of the entire ramifications may have easily escaped the attention of others.

Thought I'd post if of any help:

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

It is a bloody pain in the backside - wretched railway staff.
We are all cabbing it.
Thanks Mick Lynch and others.

Even driving is a pain for us mate, unless it’s changed I think the A249 is shut from Stockbury to Maidstone, so it’ll probably be tailed back trying to get on to the M2

A train on Saturday will be as rare as a Palace league victory at Tottenham.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

But the fans will still sit there hoping one will come along eventually

Oh F-ing ‘el! I have to go via Lewisham to pick up some other Herbert’s so may leave a bit earlier and get lunch down there first!

Obviously they’ve shut our bit from Sittingbourne to Stockbury before because of the new fly over, but not the long stretch through to Maidstone so god knows what chaos it might bring, so I’m leaving early as well.

I’ll check first though, because sometimes they cancel planned closures because they can’t do what they’ve got planned if we’ve had a lot of rain(apparently) it might be okay getting on the M2 anyway, but you know what it can be like round here

Yeah they usually save it for Sundays though! I’ll have to see tomorrow but if I’m still by McDonald’s in bobbing come 14:00 I’m going in for some rubbish food and heading home

Can’t you take the old A2 through Newington and pick up the Medway bridge down ito’s way. Then straight on the M2 via the 228.
Personally I go M20 M25 A21. Stop at the omega cafe just after Keston then onwards and up towards goat house bridge, park down any road on the right just before the bridge for free and walk to the ground. Long walk though tbh but easier to escape after the game.
Sounds like an Eminem song

That we all agree they deserve 70k for a 35 hour week and we don’t care how bad it is for us. Oh and to keep all the bulls*** Spanish practices which bring efficiency levels down so low.
