I remember enjoying the 1983 final replay when United stuffed them 4-0, can’t see a repeat of that, but United have got to win, we can’t have the weed even having a sniff of winning a trophy by getting to the final

Tough thing to admit but Weed are superior to us at the moment on and off the field. They have a very good team and also have a modern ground. Hopefully normal service will be restored soon.

I'm not paying a lot of attention to it, but from what I've seen it all looks very scrappy. Fouls and disrupted play from both sides. A bad tempered affair. Not an attractive game of slick football that's for sure. De Gea just made an excellent save to keep Man U in it. Whichever team wins today, Man City will make mincemeat of them in the final.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
