Indeed, at least with modern technology, providing they load the details of any new seating arrangement's properly you should be able to get a feel of what seat your buying - aisle seat, length of the row etc etc, I know some stadium websites actually do a "view from your seat" so you feel more invested in the purchase - At least as existing season ticket holders we will have some idea of how things will be from the stadium images on the screen but there's no accounting for an newly installed, previously unlisted support pillar right in the line of sight between you & the goalmouth - There is talk of CPFC asking the league to play the first few games of next season away because of the construction work so its doubtful we will even have the opportunity of a practice run - Its a tad irksome given that once you commit to the seas your in it for the whole season & its a lot of money to lay out to find that your not happy - I found this on the club site, is this the kind of thing? . . . Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

I do like the architectural references to the railway arches in the stand. You do of course wonder if the residential part of the scheme will happen but not the stadium expansion!

Interesting. This has been going on for years. The ground and the surrounding area are owned by Lewisham council and ripe for development. A former Mayor and his dodgy mates tried to push through a plan where the club lost the car park and the building company the Mayor owned built a housing estate, brown envelopes all around. The Guardian did a good job at the time uncovering the blatant corruption. Millwall fans then let it be known they would not accept the plan and it died a death. I guess the new plan will be acceptable as the club owners are involved and they are respected by the fans. It will be interesting to see if the ground every gets done they can't fill a 20,000 seater stadium at the moment.
