Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

What the heck for? Why ruin a good song? We're South London not Stenhousemuir.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

You must stop winding me up. I will struggle all day to get an image of the Crystals performing at half time to music provided by the Dagenham Girl Pipers.

Bagpipes are for dirges and scaring small children.

Glad All Over is too upbeat to lend itself to the Scottish cat stranglers.

Perhaps a cold shower will help!

Are you Eric Morecambe in disguise?

(For the benefit of our younger readers, Eric Morecambe, on the Morecambe & Wise Show, would occasionally make mildly innuendos references to The Dagenham Girl Pipers or The Luton Girls' Choir. The Pipers are still going, but the choir disbanded in 1977, I just looked up.)

I cannot abide the shrill sounds emitted by bagpipes.
Fingers pressed into ears.
You won't find me in a kilt and sporran doing a Highland Dance jig.
