What a senile dope
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

For me this is a clear indication of how frail is the claim of any genuine connection to Ireland. No-one who had any knowledge of Irish history would make such a mistake.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

He's about as Irish as a croissant as far as I am concerned. Just my subjective view but having a parent who moved over here very young (6 years old) and another one born here, with four Irish born grandparents, I often indulge in honouring my Irish ancestry however it is only really that for me, I'm English as far as I am concerned. Seems almost 'old hat' for him to be playing this card and nothing more than a promotional stunt. I'd be somewhat bewildered if there's any genuine sentiment involved.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

It's like on these 'trace your family' TV shows. They always end with the gormless 'celeb' expressing their delight that they are Irish, as they always suspected they were because they've always liked Guinness. To which I inevitably say to Mrs YT "errr...what about their other 15 great-great-grandparents who WERE'NT Irish, then? IDIOT!"

And while we are on the subject of tracing one's family history, whereas we already knew that my paternal grandfather served in the Great War and was wounded in the Battle of The Somme in 1916, we recently discovered that he went on to join the 'Black and Tans'. He kept that quiet!! He was certainly in Ireland in 1920 so may well have been involved in the Croke Park malarkey.

Not as frail as his claim to be President of the USA. You wanted this senile old git to win, and this is the result. A failure on every level. Oh, the shock.

In all fairness, Ireland are lapping it up. Perhaps it makes us forget our massive homeless problem.
