I went to London by train yesterday and the only way to pay for the Train Car Park was via a smart phone. They have recently removed the pay machine and there was no one in the Ticket office, there was a parking attendant explaining what you had to do? No option other than smart phone. Surely there should be a way to pay without your phone? Originally posted by Fatherken

We've had this for years, generally to warn you about adverse weather conditions or if a child has been abducted where they'll give you a brief description/ licence plate etc

It was the subject of a Radio 5 phone in this morning which included several people saying that they couldn't get a signal so couldn't pay for parking
