Been linked to him After impressing at Middlesborough. I'm amazed if we get him despite this classic quote from the above article: "Palace will surely fancy their chances of acquiring the player. That’s because Vieira’s side play a vibrant attacking style and one which ensures plenty of chances for the front men. The service will be manna from heaven for a marksman such as Akpom, who thrives on the early ball into the box." I mean, seriously, has this guy watched us lately ?!
"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one" |

Don't see this happening as Middlesbrough themselves are pretty likely to get promotion. I am a clickbait sufferer myself so know how hard it is to resist!

Clickbait are resurrecting this rumour on the basis that not only are we planning a bid for him but that his contract runs out Summer 24 and he would relish a return to London. even if Boro' get promoted. Time will tell.

IMHO, Mordor has the same advantage against Middlesboro, just for some context.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Chuba Akpom was signed by Neil Warnock for under £3 Mill from a Greek club and has scored 28 league goals for Middlesbrough this season. He is of course a striker by trade but has been played as a No 10 by Michael Carrick. He likes to drop deep and be at the heart of the action, he doesn't like to be without the ball for too long a period. He is certainly fleet of foot and difficult to dis-possess and his goal tally is impressive. Is his better position a number 10 then rather than a no 9. If so, doesn't really fit our requirements. We already have a No. 10 in Eze. We really need a centre forward who can lead the line and score goals, rather than lying deeper.

I'd like to argue against this.....er well I can't. TBH he would prob live with all the other players out in Wynyard, thats all very nice.

Like the poster above I'm afraid that I disagree. Middlesbrough is a dump but there again so is SE25 but there are lovely places within easy reach of both clubs

Have to say though, of everywhere I have been in this country, and although I only saw a small section of it, Middlesbrough was awful, blooming awful. I am sure like anywhere else it has it's good and bad sections. Just a gentle joke from me!

I worked in Middlesbrough for a year and it is an awful dump with no saving graces but it does have some lovely places nearby. As a matter of interest I worked for the previous owner of Middlesbrough Football Club at the time

As a matter of interest I worked for the previous owner of Middlesbrough Football Club at the time Steve Gibson has been the owner since the Mid-90s so it must have been some while ago ! I have not visited Middlesbrough itself, but I have a friend whose 'Pied a terre' is in Yarm and I have made the long journey to visit him.
