They were reading comments on Talksport yesterday and some Palace fans were angry that the ownership is not doing enough.

Simon Jordan said where do some of these fans expect Palace to be. This year will be their 10th year in the EPL in a row. He was saying although he is not a Parish fan he has punched above his weight.

What do you think?

I think Simon does make a good point. Palace have bought decent players in the past few years (Andersen, Guehi, Olise, Eze) (Mitchell has done well from the academy)

Edouard can do better and it has surprised many people how he is not scoring 10+ Goals every season at a minimum considering he has a lot of creative players (Eze, Olise, Zaha).

They have been to the FA CUP Semi Finals last year and been to a FA CUP final against United.

It would be good if Palace could buy a new RB, winger and clinical striker. However that all depends on how much/are able to spend this summer. To get to the next level i.e. consistently top 8-10 they will need signings every year which I cannot see happening as Palace do not usually spend a lot of money so the likelihood is most seasons they will probably see between 12 and 16th if they do not invest in their squad.

Simon Jordan's comments were rooted in sound judgement and common sense.

I can only say that things are and have been good to very good over the last decade.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Yes, but you're left with the conundrum - where is the ambition then? What can fans aspire to? It's like we're in the Premier League just for the sake of it. Like an uncle you don't like getting drunk at your table at Christmas.
Punching above our weight is just a code word for Championship side. Frankly, if Bournemouth and Brentford are Premier League, then we've every right to be here. We need to be run much better, on and off the field. Much better.
How many had problems with tickets, memberships, season tickets? I do nearly every year.
Think Selhurst Park has adequate facilities? It's not great is it.
Somehow we just have to put up with our skinflint mega rich owners whilst every other side buys left right and centre. As for new stand, for me that's just a running joke. My brother - who introduced me to Palace in the 70s - said he'd start coming back once the new stand was done. You get the drift.
On the pitch, the lack of effort is everything Palace have never been. This needs to be turned round now. Worrying times with no vision as far as I can tell. Presumably we're up for sale but the buyer has forgotten their club card and then forgotten their PIN and left the goods at the till. Had second thoughts when they saw the accounts.

I was at the villa game last week, and now I can see what the anti pv stuff is about. It's too overcomplicated - playing as 11 individuals, confused game plan, misfiring disjointed attacking play and Olise and Eze either not being sharp enough off the ball or making bad decisions. I worry that pv may be a bit aloof and inclined to consider the players' responsibility more than his own. Derry got sacked for having a go at the players, they need that judged on the villa performance. And there were 3 double substitutions in the 2nd half, we started with Ayew as right midfield, swapped roles with Olise after 10 min. Villa had much more of a game plan, most of our attacks were based on getting to a loose ball first. We sprung their attack once and never looked like doing so again whereas they constantly found spaces between our defenders. The board have given pv ammo this window, Lokonga looks a player and with wilf and Jimmy back we'll be OK, but like with Potter you have to regroup, gel and fight, tactical tweaks weren't do a lot without those qualities and I wonder if PV is confusing the players - I do think it's a temporary blip and we'll pick up the wins we need, but performances like the villa one (and others) are rightly aiming some criticism at PV-s door.

Jordan is correct.

The club has had a great 10 years and we should all be grateful to Parish for his contribution.
That said, the harsh reality is that we will go backwards unless there is sufficient funds to continue improvement of the squad and the stadium because the Premier League does not stand still.

With the money in the game that's the harsh reality of it. We pretty much are in it, just for the sake of it, if you look at the 10 biggest clubs in the world, 6 are from England. In the Spanish and German league they've probably had about 15 different teams in the champions league over the past 15 years. Would love it if our league was like theirs, where we atleast had a realistic chance but unfortunately it's not and there's very little chance of that changing.

It will change when the Super League happens, whether that is a good thing or not is open to opinion but the problem is that all the tv cash will go with it.

Which is why it won't happen, English clubs are laughing at Europe at the moment, well unless our TV money crashes then the tip 6 will be all for it again.

Jordan speaks from experience, he knows how hard it is to survive in the Premier.
His comments about fans who want to get relegated to reset the club, were also correct! Insane lunatics.

I don’t disagree with Jordan. My only complaint is that we haven’t won any silverware in our 10 years in the prem for us to look back on in years to come. Someone above said PV is trying to be too clever with us and I agree with that as well. That may just be our downfall this season when I believe we have a few more seasons left in us to stay in the premiership?
