Last season, attractive attacking play, lots of goals. We were playing 4-3-3, now we're playing 4-2-3-1, it's so so s*** to watch, we're terrible and have lost our possession play too. How does PV not recognise that if you do the same things you'll get the same result... We're in danger of getting sucked in to the relegation zone... It's not a lack of investment, it's not utilising our squad correctly!

Defending isnt the problem ,nor is the formation . Its the breakdown of any ability to run into space and pass the ball to each other whilst moving toward the opponents goal resulting in having an attempt on it .

Variations of how this is achieved is a fundermental coaching skill required of all coaches and managers wishing to have a career in football or indeed just run a kids team for fun on a sunday morning .

These are highly paid players, not young kids on a Sunday morning. They have ability or we wouldnt of bought them, its about commitment and determination, which is sadly lacking currently.

Last season we had Gallagher who was exactly what we needed. Without his box to box brilliance we're a bit of a shadow of last years team

That's what I cant wrap my head around, how we can go so long not just not winning but not even having shots at goal but the manager still plays the exact same way for so long.
I thought we looked half decent yesterday when he brought on all the midfielders and packed it out even though we had 10 men.
The Hughes situation is a massive head scratcher. He's full of effort, he's intelligent, he's a leader, which this team desperately needs, and all he's done is improve us when he's played but now he's gone back to the bench because of Viera's French favourites.

And this is one of the reasons why I am firmly in the Vieira out camp now.

Just watched the first minute of the press conference and had to turn it off. Apparently unlucky again and then he snaps at the journalist and wants to know from him in what part of the game we wasn't good enough.
If I'm one of the owners having watched our games since Bournemouth and hear that from the manager then I'm meeting him first thing in the morning and f***ing him off out of it.

We’re not shipping that many goals. It’s the other end of the pitch that’s the problem. None on target - again.
I wholeheartedly agree re Hughes. He’s what Palace are about.

The manager will only have himself to blame for poor selection, poor motivation, poor tactics and, ultimately, poor results.

I think we will...

Schlupp out...Hughes in. It is so obvious to everyone except Vieira and his inept coaches!

I don't expect too many other changes in his first game but do expect far more passion and effort.

I would like the whole team to play like Wilf in the first 15 minutes against Brighton. But even he gave up in the end when he realised no one else in front of him was pulling their weight.

Back 4 and 2 CDMs are fine. Keeper is whoever is fit. Zaha yes, Hughes, Eze OR Olise and then who knows !!

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.
