Try and steer clear of the normal ones like a relegation Decider or a Cup game , try and stick to a game that didn’t really mean much , well they all mean something but mid table clash or something.

My one was Palace 2-3 Portsmouth in 2000/2001 I believe , Trevor Francis was in charge and I had to find the report to remember when it was and funnily it was the same week he was charged with punching Alex Kolinko

We were 2-0 in first half and absolutely capitulated in the second half. There fans did not stop all game, loudest away fans I have ever heard and the limbs when there 3rd went it was mental.
I remember my 12 year old self leaving the ground absolutely stunned on how we threw it away along with the other 15000 palace fans, worst game I’ve ever been to. I know we’ve had worse results etc but that really stuck in my mind for years

Yes monkey I remember that result I wasn’t at the game thank god but was watching on teletext in them days.
Kolinko could be world class one minute then absolutely tosh the next , the best save I ever seen him do and actually probably one of the best saves I’ve seen ever was him charging out his box to the left when he should have stayed put , when he realised he wasn’t going to make it he it was too late, and he was lobbed and he charged back and done the most amazing diving save to his right when was a certain goal , outrageous save and the most mind boggling bit of goalkeeping at the same time!.

Getting done by bad refs is the main cause of frustration for me .Its compounded ten fold though when you know you have been cheated which seems to happen more often these days with the acceptence of players 'buying' fouls , penalties given for minimal contact and sometimes for none at all .

Pretty sure that Pompey defeat was under Alan Smith - we led with 2 Tommy Black goals, the 2nd was a stunner. 2nd half was awful.

For me one of the worst/most frustrating was a 2-2 draw with Oldham under Nicholas/Lewington so i think 1995.
We were 2.0 up at h/t and coasting (think Dougie got both). 2nd half Oldham scored with 2 identical headers from corners and we fell apart. We ended the game hanging on despite their sub reserve goalie being forced to come on and play upfront. Embarrassing

It was 2002. Tommy Black was on the bench, Trevor Francis was manager. Portsmouth scored 3 goals in 4 minutes, Paul Merson had a worldie and Portsmouth ran away with the league that year.
