Someone said there's a last time in everyone's life when your friends knock on your door for you to go out to play. You just don't know it's the last time when it happens.

Trying to keep it clean...

There was a last time I automatically went upstairs on a bus.
There was a last time the urge to kick a can in the road was irresistible.

What are yours?

The last time I ran up the stairs is a distant memory, as is the last time I got up from my chair without letting out a groaning noise.

There are a few other 'last times' I could mention, but they're probably not suitable for our family friendly forum.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

..the first time somebody 'does it' is noteworthy, and sometimes celebrated with champagne & flowers.

the Last time ? not so much.

---------------------------------------

the last time you spoke to people you knew , and have now not seen in years, if not decades.

and again, surely not noteworthy at the time ?
---------------------------------------------------

the last time Palace won a game ?

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

There was a last time I went down a water slide.

Mind you, that was always a slippery slope.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Haha yes!

On a more serious note, there was a last time I went to the cinema.

I cannot recall one film in recent years I have seen and intended to go and watch on the big screen to the extent I do not even remember my last visit. The abundance of media plus absence of socially ignorant half-wits has somewhat dullened my ambition to venture out and watch a film with other people.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Hear, hear....although I did relent a couple of years back by going to the cinema to watch '1917'. Given the subject matter, there were no kids or chavs in attendance, so it was OK.

Earlier, I went to see the documentary 'Apollo II'. I sat with the younger Miss YT nowhere near anyone else. Imagine how my heart sank to the floor when a fat trio - Grandad, Dad and Son clutching multiple eats and drinks - shuffled in during the adverts and sat RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. They immediately started scoffing and slurping. Then, when the Board of Censors screen popped up just before the movie started, fat Dad shuffled his way out again. I assumed he was going to the gents but no; his mission was to get MORE food and drink because the three of them had polished off the first lot! Unbelievable!! So he missed probably the first 15 minutes of the show, and later the three of them left before it ended!

THAT'S why I don't go to the cinema!

The last time I actually gave a s***.
I hate society now, the minority of either colour, belief, religion, sexual orientation all get the stage and the majority have to suck it up.

I've been lucky enough to be able to keep myself quite fit in my almost-mid-60s, so running up the stairs is still not a problem for me. However, when I get to the top, the reason for having climbed the stairs isn't even a distant memory!

My offering is "the last time you went to a 'disco' or 'nightclub' or 'club'". I might add "the last time you PULLED in a disco, nightclub or club" except I was so hopeless, I never actually did!

The last time I wore a Palace shirt. May have been the 2013 Play-off final. It's OK for a special day, but anyone over 30-ish really needs to have an objective look at themselves in a mirror.

I disengage, I turn the page.

and the same goes for concert t-shirts. Just seen Matalan selling replica faded stuff for Guns and Roses and Pink Floyd. Perhaps you can get away with it over 40 , if you're slim and have hair. Old fat bald gits like me, not at all.

The last time I saw a Palace shot on target. Apologies for trivialising a nice thread.
