Much more composed on the ball. Paired up well with Doucoure. Give up chasing Gallagher for £40m and sign up Lakonga in the summer. Top player.

These comments are madness or a deliberate wind up.

Lakonga is different [/b from Gallagher. I think he has been impressive so far, as the OP said, very composed and can pick a pass. Early days but if he continues as he has started, should try and keep him.

I was very impressed today.

Gets stuck in, doesn’t seem short on confidence, technically good, for me showed good awareness and intelligence today. I think the French call it je ne sais quoi, we call it class. I look forward to and hope to see more of him in red and blue.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Absolutely. Gallagher's effort covered up somewhat limited technical ability, you certainly wouldn't want him showing for the ball in build up like Sambi does (see Leeds v Chelsea for what happens if he does...)

Sambi is exactly the kind of midfielder I wanted and I'm delighted with him so far. If we had anything in front and a manager who'd actually coach an attacking pattern or two the Doucoure - Sambi pivot would be purring

I was wondering the same thing today, regarding Lokonga versus Gallagher. Time will tell, but so far, you can make a case for Lokonga's skill on the ball versus CG's hustle and work rate.

First half 2021/22 CG was on fire, but second half 2021/22 CG cooled off quite a bit in terms of goal scoring. I still think we'd be a perfect spot for CG to play. The same could be said for Lokonga.

At the moment, I'd take either one. I don't know what Arsenal would want for Lokonga, but Chelsea seems to have an over-inflated price in mind for CG. It's like they want to get paid for the CG that was pumping in goals for fun for us, when since then, he really hasn't done much of anything.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

One of many moments which stood out was 2nd half when he saw a pass to salah through on goal was on and ran from halfway to thwart it. Salah ended up on his backside and the attack ended.

From a discussion with a gooner supporter I think they paid £12.5m for him so no reason why we shouldn’t be able to get him for the same or perhaps £15m tops which is significantly less than Gallagher would cost us.

The fellow has had a couple of games and he's already better than last season's best player, ha ha - ludicrous. And he's a loanee, will history repeat itself?
