Is there any precedent for this, no early game and two late games. My feedback from UK is not very well received, many people have plans for Saturday nights that don't include football. I suppose on the positive side it will be inconvenient for the scousers to get back late at night Edited by HKOwen (24 Feb 2023 11.32pm)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

I shall have to forego my usual Saturday night tipple in a local Public House where sobriety is not on the agenda, however I am never in a state of total inebriation. On occasions my dear wife and I enjoy culinary delights in a restaurant on Saturdays but reservations have often been cancelled if we have been defeated due to 'Yours Truly' being in an irascible mood. The only positive light I can paint it in is that the rugby is on beforehand so sort of sets up the Saturday events, from a sports spectator perspective anyhow. Will seem strange to be rushing home from a Saturday game just to try and catch MoTD. The irony being if I were to leave early it would probably mean I’d be trying to ignore all awareness of football for the rest of the day! I assume we can thank Sky et al for all of this rhubarb?
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

It's definitely controlled by the TV coverage

I quite like it, I can still see Soccer Saturday on sky and still leave in plenty of time for the game, plus there won’t be as much traffic about

I remember, back in the day, Torquay United's home fixtures were often (possibly always) at 7:30pm on a Saturday evening. The 'classified football results' on TV thus had E-E against the Torquay fixture and the results person would say, "Torquay United against Lincoln City (etc); evening kick-off". This ran from the mid-60s to some time in the 80s, I believe. I recall that it was something to do with a weekly market that had an ancient right to operate on the Plainmoor site. I used to speculate that it might be quite cool to go to Selhurst Park for a Saturday night 'floodlit' fixture, but I now realise what a nonsense it is!
