I am deeply saddened to be informed of his passing.

Sir Bernard Ingham was a supporter of our club and could be seen seated in the Arthur Wait Stand many years ago.

My thoughts go out to all his family and friends at this sad time.
RIP.

Yes, I read this news earlier. Didn't know he followed the Palace. Wonderful eyebrows!

RIP

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

He was a resident of Purley and was a regular in the Arthur Wait.

I spoke with him on many occasions, he was always in the Stanley Stephenson lounge, a very nice man, and not what the perception of him was, RIP Sir Bernard.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Indeed, used to nod to each other on Purley station many years ago.
