I notice that our away fixture at the Amex on 16th March previously supposedly postponed due to a rail strike will er...coincide with another rail strike. I wonder if our friends at Sussex Police will postpone the match again.

Good question. Originally when they called the first game off I suspect they thought the matter would have been resolved by now.
If it is called off again there is every chance a new date could be similarly affected. So, I expect it to go ahead.

Without trains to Falmer getting there would be a ball ache for all fans so & there's no way they'd put the game on.

No, not quite. The Brighton game was called off due to the strike. The Queen then died, so the rail strike was then cancelled, which meant the game could have been played because other games were being played that day. However, the authorities said the rail strike was cancelled at too short notice to play the game, so it remained postponed.

If it was cancelled due to a rail strike last time, theoretically it can't go ahead this time.

The league could just not play it on a Thursday night and move it to Wednesday. Personally I'd more than happily move it to later in the season when we might be playing a bit better.

Lets get some coaches sorted go down the M23 and batter those seaside shirtlifters. They think they are the best thing since sliced bread. They will think differently when they come face to face with my knuckleduster.

It was also new student arrivals weekend for both the Universities on that day which was a big factor as they both have their main campus right next to and opposite the Amex. Obviously this won't be a factor this time so it may still go ahead.

I’ve booked a hotel for the night so a leisurely drive down, few beers, cab to the ground, cab back, beers if open, sleep, breakfast, slow drive home.
I haven’t mentioned what I’m going for as that’s the bad bit
Also paid a bit more for if the plod call it off so money back guarantee.

I seem to recall that the day before a strike services close down early so this wouldn't really help.
