his attempts to get Corbyn elected as PM. Let's see if the Corbynista's like Burgon say anything after Starmer's speech today

On a different tac but as regards your threat title - Will Starmer stand up today and do a u-turn on the trans issue given he shouted loud and proud he would follow Scotland only a short time ago?

I thought he actively undermined Corbyn? Have I missed something?

Starmer destroyed Labour's chances of winning by spear-heading the campaign for Labour to adopt their lunacy of a second referendum campaign. Bored people s***less about this dozens of times with the why but it is a nailed-on fact. What he wants people to forget is what Corybn achieved in the 2017 General Election, as does most of the rest of the British political establishment.

Apologising for the way Labour previously handled anti-semitism within the party. Thought Chakrabati said there was no evidence of this! Was her report a complete fabrication then? Still she has done very nicely fir herself

The second referendum that nobody wanted really.

Yes, largely what I thought. The second referendum that nobody wanted really. More than that. A proposal that made zero electoral sense given the constituency breakdown of the Leave/Remain vote in 2016. Following Labour's loss in 2015 the Fabian society produced an analysis of what they needed to do and firmly concluded, with nobody disputing it, that if Labour wanted to win a working majority then they needed to achieve that in England and Wales. Both of whom voted firmly (the breakdown I saw put it at 70/30 in favour of leaving on a constituency basis) to leave the EU. If there was a single policy that GUARANTEED Labour would lose, it was Starmer's second referendum policy. Which was beyond s*** (if you are sad enough go on Youtube and see the likes of Emily Thornberry, another proponent of it, getting ripped to shreds over the details). Excruciating to watch. Only conclusion is Startmer is beyond stupid. Or beyond sinister. I am firmly in the second camp.

A couple of days more and Corbyn would have been in power in 2017. And he was a very effective leader of the opposition frequently defeating the government. Starmer may achieve office but whether he gets the heart of the labour party I don't think so. Wilson & Blair who both won successive elections, knew that labour was a broad church and included the left. He will be elected on the basis that the tories have run their course and nobody could be as bad.
