Clickbait suggesting that BOTH Plange and O'Brien are on their way back with Plange off to Lincoln City in League 1 (a come-down from playing for Derby in the Championship) and Bristol City after O'Brien on loan with option to buy.

How true all this is...?

I think Plange has been announced. Haven't seen about O'Brien - was thinking he might actually be worth a look with Tomkins situation.

the Plange loan was a strange one as it was definitely a step down and it appears he has mainly been used as a sub.

Get him back and for now Div 1 might be the best option for him.

O'Brien seems to be progressing nicely.

Hopefully both will feature in the 1st team squad next season (predominantly off the subs bench)

Belgium may have been a step down but there again so is Division One as he was playing in the Championship last season

Palace connection for Luke Plange: Manager of Lincoln City is Mark Kennedy!

The Madness was sending him to the Belgium 2nd division he clearly didn't settle and that impacted his performance.

Hopefully Lincoln will allow his to get his mojo back and then next season he should go to a championship club.

Going out on loan can be a challenge in itself with a youngster finding themselves in a strange place away from friends and family. I know being mobile and having to adapt to new environments is part and parcel of life as a footballer, but being sent off to a foreign country must be doubly challenging.

not really. Plange got to play in a struggling championship side due to a transfer embargo. He would not have got that opportunity under normal circumstances.

As he has struggled in a lesser league this season (maybe home sickness, food , language etc may be factors) having a reset in Div 1 makes sense IMHO. Div 1 is surely a step up from Belgium div 2
