Assume it's nonsense but this French website seems to think Textor is going to screw us over to help Lyon. Google translate very coherently says...

"In active search for a new midfielder, OL are multiplying their tracks in this winter transfer window. If Lucas Tousart is a file under study, the Gones are also watching Michael Olise (Crystal Palace).

From the height of his 21 years, Michael Olise is promised a bright future. The Franco-British evolves under the orders of Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace and his potential is obvious. Evidenced by his statistics in the Premier League. Already 7 assists this season and a slaughter in the middle of the field which surprises. A talent placed under close surveillance. The Daily Mail has mentioned in recent weeks an interest from PSG for Michael Olise. But according to our sources, another French club is thinking of him this winter.

In search of a talented midfielder in great shape, OL are looking into the case of Michael Olise. With the arrival of John Textor in the club, a new era opens and financially, the businessman seems to want to mark the occasion... Estimated at more than 20 million euros, Michael Olise has everything to be the beautiful first Textor recruit. A talent of the English championship, international U21 French, in full swing. Perfect for Laurent Blanc, who seems to have taken some information from his former friend from the France team, Patrick Vieira."

Something about this faceless investor I don’t trust
Love to see him be up front in our faces waxing lyrics
About his investment in Palace being a top 8 contender

Yet I dream ……… along with Parish

So we had his £30 million release clause removed just to sell him for....€20m?

I don't think this benefits Textor a great deal as it increase our chances of relegation this season and moreso next with Wilf going. His stake in us could plummet in value. Either way, Parish would never sign it off.

Although I find AI deeply unsettling, that's actually really impressive, thanks for the tip Anerley!

When Textor completed his acquisition of Lyon he announced they are the cornerstone of his multi club company. When he bought into Palace I think we all assumed that we would be the top dog that his other clubs would feed.

Luckily he only has a minority stake of Palace.

Lyon is a much bigger club than us. Impressive 60,000 seater stadium well positioned in the city with its academy alongside. Plus the city want them.

Bit disappointing the way he’s swung his interest there, but understandable.

We must make sure he doesn’t get any more Palace shares.

With Harris and Blitzer going cold on us, ( not that they were ever even warm) and apparently no shareholder funds to use, we need to be re evaluating our position.

Lyon have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe, with a very good run, i hope he dosent think we are safe from relegation, because we are far from that.

I doubt I'm the only fan pissed off with stuff like this? As far as I'm concerned our whole ownership can do one.

I am very much wondering what is going on behind the scenes- I get a feeling there is a lot & some of it Parish knows & is concerned
Along with he doesn’t know what the other 3 are upto & he’s more concerned

I see a bit of a Fans conglomerate getting together if the wheels don’t turn on
Club & Squad spirit lifting or
PV being snatched from under us or
Zero player investment knowing we have old geezers / end of contracts looming large
( is Parish screaming Pat just hold out till June please )
Or the most creative players be snapped from under us

Steve what’s happening?
Supporters do have a concern & happy to listen
Yet we ain’t convinced on you last speech re Textor & Lyon bit sticky fish there

Thought I read it was a few months ago but could be misremembering. We'll know in the summer if he's had a good season by then I guess.
