I read this story too.

This has little or nothing to do with left/right ideologies. It is South American political score settling in which both sides are complicit.

At this distance I think it’s unwise to draw any meaningful conclusions. If the story had been written 3 years ago it would have said the precise opposite and it would be the rightish politician being put under the spotlight.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

The Left hate you. Want everything from you. Want to see your children hate you. Want to deny you everything you have ever dreamt of achieving. They detest you because of your skin colour.

Which is fine, once you accept that.

I still maintain that the far left and the far right are two sides of the same coin:

Far Left - Those who have failed in life who like to suck in the likes of lesser represented groups, any peoples feeling even somewhat marginalised or repressed etc etc in a bid to seize power and create a new structure to empower themselves where they have failed to achieve this through personal merit.

Far right - Those who often feel entitled to power, even just as a majority. and either try to enforce this to an extreme on others or just further trample on smaller and weaker societal groups for egotistic or resentful reasons. Usually resentful as they themselves are unhappy and once again failed within existing societal structures.

Both follow the same pattern - fail yourself, become bitter, resentful and angry over your failings and project this externally onto the world and others. You then seek some sort of totalitarianism to enforce your world view in the belief this will make you happy. You require scapegoats, an identifiable enemy and therefore victims for this.

What we are seeing across the world atm is the rise of failures trying to enforce a totalitarian view that paints anybody who fits into the same boxes as the successful majority - white, male, able bodied, heterosexual etc etc, as the enemy. It is, as it would be with any rise of the right, a storming of society from failures, who blame the world for their failings and not themselves.

It’s very disconcerting for anyone who views themselves as ‘middling’. You don’t want to see either of these sides rise as when one does, the opposing side will too as a counterweight. You then see yourself aligning with one side of the coin just to counteract the other. That’s also why when you question the Orwellian narrative, you are painted as being on the other side these days.

As always too, one side will proclaim itself as the ideological epitome or virtuosity and the other as pure evil. So denounce yourself as a white person, give your money and jobs to anybody who is not a white heterosexual male, recognise all 215 genders, use the correct pronouns, mutilate children, etc etc because of course if you don’t, you’re a Nazi.

Antifa are far more than that. They are essentially the violent edge of Social Progressivism. The Establishment funds them and ensures that they are effectively given a free pass when it comes to their activities.

They exist to intimidate because Progressive ideals are so unpopular that any kind of public demonstrations against must be discouraged through any means necessary.

Yep, the left essentially go bankrupt....then again mate, the right just took on the left's clothes economically and do the same thing at a slower pace.

The problem came once the wealth class stopped identifying with their respective nations and became globalist and easy wealth transfer became available.

Now, they suffer no real consequence when things go badly wrong.

Never have leaders who have no real skin in the game....unfortunately this generation and us are finding that out. Not that the mainstream media will say it.

Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.

Unfortunately we are at the crap stage of the cycle.
