Favourite Christmas Movies

My wife and I have, this week, watched a couple of Christmas films to get us in the mood, so to speak. Being a couple of old'uns both films were of a similar vintage to ourselves. The first, Each terrific in their own way with some fabulous acting but not to everyone's taste of course. Not necessarily our favourites either (I've lined up the Muppets Christmas Carol for later in the week). Loads of films to select from, but I thought it would fun for you lot to have a say and tell us what films are your festive favourites and which ones you traditionally watch every year. Regarding the Muppets, I've recently watched four of them: The Muppets take Manhattan (1984) The two middle ones were really good movies but most Muppet movies have a great list of famous cameos to look out for. Sorry that it's not that Christmasey but I really liked this clip from the 2014 effort.

Die Hard II does not get anywhere near encapturing the hell of an Airport at Christmas, or even on a normal day at the moment. They should use Ryanair in the remake but it would probably be too traumatic for the cinema audience.

Where Bruce Willis is a disgruntled passenger trying to deal with Ryanair's 'customer service'. He'd be better off talking to international terrorists in all fairness. Ryanair bosses probably do live in a hollowed out volcano, however.

A fanfare would sound every time a new scene started on time. Each screening could be cancelled at a moments notice.

It's a wonderful life The Grinch - Ron Howard version Miracle on 34th St both versions but if I could choose I would put Sir Dickie as Santa in the 1940's version. A Christmas Carol. Tough call which version but Sir Patrick Stewart in the TV movie just edges out Alistair Sim.
