I first saw her when she was with Chicken Shack at the Blue Orchid and then as support to the original Fleetwood Mac at the Toby Jug Tolworth. Her voice was beautiful and one of the things that made me a blues fan. Must have been sometime in 1969, the memory fades. RIP Songbird.

Shame, her voice was a nice contrast to Stevie Nicks they complimented each other. Great song writer, RIP.

A female songwriter I actually rated highly. Sad news.

Stevie Nicks wrote one of F Mac's most beautiful songs, Rhiannon, and possibly my favourite 'latter' period record. Still love Albatross, which I played on my Mum's dansette way back! Edited by Slimey Toad (01 Dec 2022 11.22am)

yes, sad news, if you see their greatest hits album you realize how many great songs they made, Carol King was a great songwriter Tapestry one of the great Albums.

They also made some right dross too. 'Oh Diane' and 'Big Love' are two of them, off the top of my head. Neither written by the lady who has just died.
