Cute I agree and I'm glad the dog was reunited with it's owners obviously. This maybe an unpopular opinion but I'll be honest I'm not a massive dog lover (or any pet for that matter) They serve a purpose of course but I've always been a believer in there being a chain of importance in life and naturally humans come first. I only say this as I find that some people actually care more about animals than other humans which I find bizarre.. Anyway I'll stick my tin hat on and await some abuse for saying that!!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

The difference being a the love of a pet is generally unconditional. The other humans you talk about are never unconditional and some really don’t deserve to be alive.

Did you read about the spaniel that was spooked by fireworks and ran away? Not a joke BTW. The owners found a squashed animal in the road, thought it was their dog, and buried it in the garden. A few days later their dog wandered back home and owners discovered they'd buried a fox. Owners a tad dumb on a few counts if you ask me.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Nothing wrong with not being a pet lover, but deliberate cruelty to animals is the pits. I'm not a particulary big dog lover, but I am sick of the way the locals here treat them here. When it comes to cats I love mine so much I think of coming home to them when I am at work. There, I've said it.

All died sadly but had a good life which isn’t hard to do for a pet.
