Ayew up forward on the right instead of Olise. Is it just me? Or is it really dumb of PV insisting on putting that guy up forward instead of Olise? WTF more does Olise have to do to placed above Ayew in PV's mind? Check out their Youtubes: Olise kills Ayew. Is it voodoo? Everytime he plays Ayew my stomache drops. I don't mind him on the bench but he's so much below other EPL players in those positions I just don't know how he gets picked. Last week's goal that West Ham scored was Ayew who failed to spoil Benrama's entrance in through the defence for a shot. NOTHING was said about it! Voodoo? If that was Olise instead I bet people would have blamed him. How many matches have we won with Ayew not starting? That guy is a passenger! Yes he does some good things we can point out like a good assist to Zaha last match, but he does this so rarely, whereas Olise does it more often and more effectively and scores more. Is it just me? Some wil say yes, but are there any who agree?

Olise and Ayew just does not work together. Olise is on a different level and basically Ayew gets in the way. Wilf doesn’t like playing striker. So play Wilf Edouard Olise.

Probably brought Ebiowei on to build confidence after the penalty miss at Newcastle.

You cant blame him for Zaha missing!

He plays Ayew when we’re away. It’s part of the more defensive set up. Ayew is much better at tracking back than Olise.

It's clearly not just you oddball, however I quite like him. A pity some of his team mates don't show his commitment. The effort he puts in means a lot in my book.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Another day, another "let's bash Ayew" thread. Boring. The fellow puts in more effort and cover than the other three alongside him put together. Bring the likes of Eze, Zaha, and Olise on as impact subs and let's see how it pans out.

I agree that Olise and Ayew should not be in the same starting line up. Mainly because it puts too much pressure on whoever is at right back and they don’t complement eachother, but too many Palace managers must see something in him as they keep picking him or he’s playing for nothing?

Whilst Ayew does work hard he usually overplays it and loses the ball. When he is driving forward I have little faith in anything coming of it whereas when Wilf or Olise is attacking I am excited as they can often make something happen. Edited by babylonjohn (13 Nov 2022 3.32pm)
