So today I had ‘another’ brekky
I was in Kensal rise and when ordering the guy said the bacon wasn’t pork.
I knew it was Turkey rashers due to religion but it was lovely.
Anyhow On another note if you come in along the A21 or from Kent then I can recommend the OMEGA cafe. Just as you drop down the dip from keston common do a left by co op then first left and there is a car park. RingGo and it’s like a pound for an hour. This cafe is our go to one. A tenner each worst ways will get you stuffed and they do full monty, Main meals, omelette, liver mixed grill etc.
If you struggle to find a bit of grub around the ground ( Marylins is good but can be busy) then this saves the Agg prior to the game.
If you try it let us know what you think. Loads of palace fans use it so get in there I say.

I can never fathom out why muslim restaurant/deli/cafe owners have an issue selling pork bacon, whilst their muslim colleagues don't appear to have any qualms about selling liquor at their newsagents/supermarkets/grocery stores

I always used the cafes around Forest Hill. All good stuff. It's when I moved to Sussex that things started to go downhill. The plates were that bit smaller, and never quite full. Boiled mushrooms, toast and scrambled eggs. NO !!!!

Everything has to be FRIED in plenty of hot oil. Haven't even tried looking for a decent cafe in Wales, as Sussex kind of killed the enthusiasm.

I disengage, I turn the page.

Its not just the selling of pork its often because it still needs to be handled, unwrapped, kept in different storage containers, cooked in different pans, served with different utensils etc, my wife is Muslim & although she has no problem with me having ham / bacon etc either I cook it or when she cooks it she does so with all the windows in the kitchen open because of the smell -

Liquor is stored in sealed containers - glass bottles / cans etc so you dont have to make any special arrangement's -

The big blasphemy is tinned plum toms instead of fresh ones.

Scandal in a fry up.

Yes I kinda get that DE, one of my wholesalers is a archetypal 80 year old Jewish New Yorker but still eats pork on occasions.

One thing I hate seeing over here is that they have a habit of serving beans in a ramekin the same if you have say Fish & Chips you'll get a portion of Mushy Peas in one.

Fry ups in ‘’caffs’’ have gone downhill badly. Even the back bacon with all that fat somehow on it is an insult. I avoid them now. Might be better up north.
