Credit where credit is due. None of the high profile Labour lot would actually say that Huq used racist language, they wriggled and wriggled.

Starmer has called it out and well done to him.

Shame on those who jump on the bandwagon now and particular shame on the Shadow Equalities minister who was sitting next to Huq and said nothing, then or subsequently

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

She has apologised but why? She didn't miss speak it was quite intentional and clearly like many on the left she hates the idea that a minority person doesn't toe the line "all black people must think the same way".

So she is only apologising because she got caught.

For a party that is obsessed with diversity they hate it when someday shows diversity of opinion.

Starmer laid out his stall on all forms of racism starting with anti-semitism so some consistency there. Plenty of racists still like Lammy and Abbot but this is a good sign.

Huq is a racist hypocrite, hopefully will be deselected in the fullness of time

Apparently she is the sister of Connie Huq the Blue Peter Presenter from years ago and a minor celebrity previously.

With things like this I prefer to hear them clarify what they meant. We won’t get to hear it because of her position.

Huq having a go at Kwarteng because he does sound black enough.
Starmer sacking an MP because he joined a picket line with, as he said he spoke on something that was not Labours policy. The MP said that everyone should get a pay rise.
What is Labours policy on pay rises ?
Starmer telling his front bench not to go to the dockers picket line whilst in Liverpool and not going himself .
So much for a party that was set up by the unions and working class .
The sooner the unions stop paying them and get back to core values the better.

Yup rather than just the insincere apology I would prefer she explains her position.

Backing unions to the hilt is a huge PR risk in the build up to an ele.ction that could happen sooner than they’re planning for.

He called it out and took away the whip.
I won't vote for the man but I admire him for taking swift action.

She just said what a huge part of the progressive left actually believe.

I don't like dishonest politics and Starmer represents that.

While Huq is my enemy, I always respect honesty.

Her groveling apology represents the very worst of politics in my view.

It was completely deliberate.

It was designed to undermine the chancellor in the eyes of minority voters and make that t*** Starmer look all decisive and tough on racism in the party.

Labour are a joke.

Have we forgotten how they tried to cancel a democratic vote for Brexit and how they sold off our gold cheap and spent all the money last time they were in?
Don't forget that they complained about too much taxation and then complained when there was a tax cut.

They also conveniently forget that the small amount of people who earn our 150k a year pay a big disproportion of the total collected tax.
Maybe they should be more worried about all the immigrant owned businesses that avoid paying tax by only accepting cash.
