Another teenage stabbing in Purley. On the Nextdoor app the man who assisted the victim said it took 15 minutes for police and 25 minutes for an ambulance. The boy was slipping in and out of consciousness. He’s more angry about everyone filming the boy on the ground. The police moved them on. Not sure whether that’s good for the investigation. Apparently the culprit had a mask on, which quite a few youths wear now. Masks, balaclavas and things that pull over the face when needed.

of the last 100 teenage stabbings in London, what percentage involve kids from broken homes ? 50% of the stabbings ? or more ?

our society is failing its youth.

I'm old enough to remember when Purley was considered posh.

That arcade used to have a nice bakers shop, a card shop and a jewellers, oh and no graffiti or someone living in it.
It's not just broken homes there is something badly wrong all round.

Know it very well unfortunately.

My initial thinking was it might be Thomas Moore but Fisher lads often a target round there. F**king awful I'm quite annoyed actually.

know purley very well.
worked there a lot, mainly the hospital (is it still there?)

This will not only carry on but get far worse until a harsh penalty , 3 strikes type system, is used for those carrying a knife.
1st offence, no form - warning
2nd-instant 1year
3rd-? you name it.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

The problem there has always been that so many youngsters say that they have to carry a knife for their own protection - and some of them are probably not lying.

I think there's the 'War Memorial Hospital' on Brighton Way isn't there?
