I think we’ll safely finish top 12 or indeed 10th there are some pretty ropey teams in the Premier league this season! My thinking is the bottom three will consist of… safe to say Leicester look doomed already! followed by Nottingham Forest closely followed by Bournemouth! You might not think Bournemouth will get the chop but I do!

I can't see us improving on 12th with the current squad. Indeed, I would accept 12th place this season as I think it's a tougher league than last season.

Realistically we are still a team in transition. Learning how to play our new way, and turn some of the good performances in to draws. So anything in the midfield is fine. Hate to say it but its worth looking at Brighton, year 4 now with Potter. Style is embedded, transfer policy is working, 'happy' to lose key players for top money because they have a strong enough squad. Its worth fans remembering to be patient, we are still in the early days of PV's reign. We are starting to make the right signings, and play some decent football. But we need better game management, a stronger squad and to be more clinical to convert our opportunities. And there will be more bumps on the road e.g. life post Wilf (which will almost certainly set us back a little). But with Eze, Olise, Doucoure, Guehi we have some outstanding players to build for the future.

I think we are on a similar path and will get there if PV stays and is given backing. As for this season, factoring in injuries and suspensions, I think anything above 14th would be a bonus.

I don't see us tenth or higher. We're the second worst squad in the league. We'll be around 14th/15th and we'll take it. Take a look at our squad in any area and take out any one or two of the following: Zaha What exactly are we going to do with injuries? Our first eleven is pretty ropey in midfield as it is.

Not a chance based on our current squad. Our forwards apart from Zaha aren’t good enough and if we get a few injuries I can see us struggling. If we don’t get it right in the next window we will be in real danger of going down.

Potter has been a little too successful for Brighton's good if he is the likely new Chelsea manager. Not easy for anyone else to go in there and replicate how well he has done. Just what happens though. Presumably it would be the same for Vieira if he got us into the top 8 - plenty of clubs would be after the legend that is PV. But I don't think any chance that will be this year.

Thats what i said at the start of the season, and i will stick too it
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

I think we've got quality just not much depth as you say. A Adding Olise and Guehi to that list is a decent list of talent. It's a shame we couldn't add a few more this summer as I believe to continue our progress will require another big sale at the end of the season ala AWB so that we can fund our new transfer policy. I'd have thought after this season Olise will be having quite a few admirers.
