This may be a little premature, but disappointing end to things if nobody else comes in!Not sure what signal this sends out to PV,about our determination to crack the top ten?l get the impression the drawbridge was pulled up a few weeks ago,and the board decided not to spend any more, bit of a shame really it's been pretty obvious for some time we needed a few replacements,we do seem to be very cautious buyers to the point miserly in dealing with potential purchases!!

Seems unlikely at this late stage but we're known, traditionally, to be Last Minute.com in these matters.

A dire window again. I wouldn’t blame PV if he walked. Like all the recent managers in the Premiership, not backed by Mr Parish. Dougie Freedman?? Why, what purpose??

Agree Willo. Been pretty well backed. Hodgson was much less so, however Allardyce and Pardew were well backed for a club our size and resource.

Whilst we probably have 12 or 13 players who, if all available, would see us safely through the season, we don't appear to have a great deal of depth of cover if we suffer a spate of injuries. Doucoure has been the only player to come in who is ready made for a starting place in the side. Richards and Ebiouwei are still unknown quantities who may or may not be able to cut it at PL level. Likewise Plange. So all a bit underwhelming and not exactly a signal that we can expect to push on from last season.

Dreadful that we didn’t get another couple of first team potential starters in. Now it’s a case of which one of our players gets a long term injury against Newcastle? We deserve to struggle this year.

Well we got who we expected on deadline day - Sweet Fanny Adams (nice tea lady) I had the feeling that we were putting all our eggs into the Conor basket rather than move on. So now we're very thin in midfield and I think we're going to struggle this season. But this is the Palace Way

Parish will need to learn that at some point he will need to dip in his pocket. A Manager of PV ilk will demand players to maintain the momentum Draws are not acceptable any more especially when your in a winning position. Parish has purchased yet to note key weak spots need to be fixed before Jan otherwise we will see a repeat struggle - The crowd won’t be happy dear Blue Suit Man. Fact :Hughes / Milo / Tomkin / McArthur / Ward will need coverage - back up We Need a RB / Attacking Mid / Goal scorer
Forever Palace Proud |
