3-2 FT. We were lucky to hang on to the win - Brighton the much better side in the 2nd half.

Highly enjoyable and of course a win against the enemy.

The new lads from Derby look really good - Ebiowue what feet.

Strong Brighton side stretched us to the extreme in the second half, Wells-Morrison in for Tayo and had a torrid time.

Never a dull moment.

Totally agree. Jairo will never be a footballer as long as he has a hole somewhere, nice hair fcuk all else. Hughes, no, must try harder, been watching luka with his set pieces. Thanks to the academy lads was why we won, 1st teamers, pfft.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Brighton were the better side for most of the game, we had some good individuals, but as a team second best, Richards looked dead average

Our keeper Owen Goodman was brilliant.

The goals were two from Mateta and one from Ebiowei - here's the match report on the Palace website

A good game.
Wells-Morrison looks a prospect & Ebiowei looks good.
Difficult to gauge in terms of those first team players playing in a 21s game but Riedewald won’t have impressed the watching PV & jury out on Richards.
Mateta & Hughes did what was needed when called upon.

There was one preposterous moment in the game when Reidewald made an innocuous challenge on the Brighton forward Julio Enciso. Enciso went down like a sack of sh*t and started rolling around on the floor holding his face as if he'd been shot. It was pathetic - Mark Bright was laughing his head off at his antics.

Ebiowei was a class act. On that performance, I would give him a shot over Ayew. I know it was U21s, but the standard was very high.
