Against Arsenal we conceded another goal from a corner which we probably could and should have prevented. We were always good at set pieces while Keith was assistant manager and I believe he insisted on specific set piece practice sessions. I notice he left Carlisle earlier this year and is currently available. Just saying.

Look at us under Puli s at set pieces and you see the potential. It wouldn't take away from our game - it could add another dimension to us. I know we're not as tall anymore but we still have big enough players to be much, much better.
I personally thought we've looked a bit more dangerous attacking corners but when we were defending them we didn't look comfortable.
I felt nervous watching them.

But throw ins, corners and free kicks all need work. I suspect the club and Patrick can see this (I'd be concerned if they couldn't!).

Tbf I also think we could do with getting Gerry Francis back in to coach us defensively at set pieces too!

We really could do with a dead ball specialist to make more of our set pieces.

I dont think the coaching is the issue but that we dont have any leaders on the pitch . The center backs should be taking control at set pieces (defending ) organising , shouting and berating those who have switched off , I just dont see ours doing anything but trying to mark their own man .

We need a ninja or a razor. They would know about their job pretty damn quickly

Anderson does a bit of this, Guehi too, but in a quieter way as far as I can see (from the TV). But, I agree with this sentiment Elpis, it's not so much the coaching as the on pitch organising that needs improvement.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
